A heron in a bellhop hat just checked a family of beavers into a room with a leaky roof, and now the lobby is full of angry squirrels demanding walnuts they never ordered. Barnaby Quill's chapter-by-chapter hotel comedy builds one ridiculous disaster onto the next, best for listeners ages six to ten who like fast plots and talking animals with very human tempers. Sadie Bracken reads with the clipped energy of a front-desk clerk trying to keep smiling while chaos unfolds behind her.
