A kettle hums on the stove, a cup picks the child who needs it most, and the kitchen table turns into a boat that rocks on tea-warm waves. These eight gentle poems by Tobias Plum trace one slow, golden afternoon from four o'clock till supper, finding small magic in biscuits, clocks, and steam. Best for ages 4 to 8 who like calm, rhythmic stories and cozy domestic worlds. Wilf Tanner reads with a soft, crumbly voice like a comfortable chair, letting each line breathe so listeners can settle in deep.
